We are looking for an experienced Medical Technician to join our team at our Sulphur, LA, site. Full-time and PRN positions are available Mon-Fri, day shifts. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: * Ability to work independently * Ability to demonstrate: organizational skills, efficiency in all task and attention to detail * Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical information. * Ability to effectively present information, both verbal and written. * Demonstrated ability to use computer and telephone. * Knowledge of current diagnostic tests, their functions, and normal results. * Has consistently demonstrated service-oriented performance. * Must adhere to the service expectations of CORE, LLC. DUTIES: * Adheres to all CORE, LLC policies and procedures. * Adheres to departmental Quality Assurance procedures. * Perform urine drug screen collections, including observed collections in accordance with federal and company guidelines. Observed collections must be conducted by an observer of the same gender as the donor. Because the majority of observed collections involve male patients, the technician must be able to perform observed collections for male donors when required. * Obtains basic history, and medical information, and take vital signs * Performs collection of vital signs, performs visual acuity and color testing. * Performs other duties as required. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: * Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred * Current CPR/BLS Certification * Pass DISA Background Check * Pass DISA Drug and Alcohol Screening * TWIC Card (preferred) * Basic Orientation Plus from Alliance Safety Council (preferred) * Must have available transportation with up to date insurance coverage * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with client and employees CORE, CHN, and our subsidiaries are Equal Opportunity Employers.
