Description:Job Overview Operator will support R&D builds, data collection, and lab testing for R&D purposes among other related activities, following applicable procedures, instructions, and/or travelers. Operator will be trained to ensure compliance in clean room environment and will be expected to document the work performed for traceability purposes. Responsibilities and Duties: • Manual assembly and fabrication • Operates and performs basic maintenance/troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment such as, but not limited to: o embroidery and sewing machines o die-cut presses and laser cutters o washing machine and drying equipment o thermoform press and ultrasonic welder o heat sealer • Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) • Must follow all BD housekeeping policies and procedures • Must follow all BD safety policies and procedures • Must be able to work overtime as required to meet BD business requirements • Perform other duties as required Qualifications Minimum Education/Experience: • Required: o High school degree with technical certification in the area of laboratory operations plus 1 year manufacturing/laboratory experience or o AS degree in a scientific discipline with 1 year manufacturing/laboratory experience or o BS degree in a scientific discipline • Preferred: o Textile, manual sewing, and embroidery experience o Manufacturing environment experience Basic Skills: • Ability to demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills • Must be detail-oriented o Strong time management skills required Proficient/Working Skills: • Must be proficient in English with the ability to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic • Proficiency in MS Excel is required
