A community-focused retail pharmacy in Boerne, TX is seeking a Per Diem Staff Pharmacist to provide coverage on select dates with two days of training included. Dates Needed: Training: June 25 and June 26 Shifts: June 29, June 30, July 1, and July 2 Shift Hours: 8:45 AM to 6:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break Location: Boerne, TX (specific address provided upon placement) Key Responsibilities: Accurately verify and dispense prescriptions in a high-volume retail environment averaging 275 prescriptions daily Process electronic prescriptions efficiently, often handling 10+ orders per page Counsel patients on medication usage, safety, and answer questions professionally Verify non-sterile compounding practices and maintain quality standards Administer immunizations as needed, with minimal frequency expected Collaborate directly with healthcare providers regarding therapy management Oversee pharmacy technicians and manage efficient workflow Maintain inventory control, including handling recalls promptly Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and protocols Provide outstanding customer service and support drive-thru and medication delivery services Utilize Computer RX software (training provided) Qualifications: Active Texas pharmacist license required Minimum of 2 years recent experience practicing as a retail pharmacist Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a busy workflow Excellent communication and patient counseling skills This Per Diem opportunity is ideal for pharmacists seeking flexible, short-term work while contributing to a trusted community pharmacy.
