A leadership opportunity is available for a dedicated Pharmacist in Charge at a closed-door long-term care (LTC) pharmacy in Nicholasville, KY. This direct hire role requires a strong commitment to reliability and attendance, critical to success in this environment. The pharmacy fills approximately 600 prescriptions per day and uses the Frameworks software system, with training provided. Responsibilities: Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations. Manage daily pharmacy operations, including prescription dispensing, patient counseling, and staff oversight. Maintain thorough records for prescriptions, inventory, and controlled substances. Develop and enforce policies and procedures promoting safety and efficiency. Provide leadership, training, and performance evaluation for pharmacists, technicians, and pharmacy personnel. Oversee inventory management to maintain appropriate medication stock while minimizing waste. Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurers to resolve medication-related issues. Address customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and timely solutions. Keep up-to-date with pharmacy industry trends, medications, and regulatory updates. Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational effectiveness. Conduct audits and inspections to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in line with infection control standards. Qualifications: Active, clear Kentucky Pharmacist license. 2-4 years of experience in long-term care pharmacy. Recent pharmacy management experience, preferably in LTC settings. Strong reliability and consistent attendance are essential. Schedule: Monday through Friday, day shift.
