Under the immediate supervision of the Medical Imaging Supervisor the Radiology Technologist, is responsible for conducting routine X-Ray/CT procedures and ensuring all Physician and customer needs are met through clinical and administrative tasks.Perform X-Rays: • Operates all fixed and Portable Radiographic Equipment• Performs all Trauma Protocols• Able to assess plan and provide individualized care for patients taking into account the mental status development and physical needs of each patient based on age• Performs all Fluoro produres• Performs all OR ProceduresCT:• Performs CT scan procedures per CT Procedure Manual / Recognizes emergency situations, initiates code procedures, and administers first aid/CPR• Assist patients on and off the table• Prepares and calculates appropriate dosage and/or administers contrast media ie orally, IV, rectally• Starts Intravenous lines and administers IV Contrast• Assists the Radiologist in biopsies, abscess drainages and other procedure• Performs daily safety warmup and quality control check on CT equipmentPACS: • Ensures all computed and digital images are properly archived on Synapse • Scan Documents in a timely manner • Trouble shoot as needed• Push images to other Hospitals• Burn Cd's/and enter Tech notes into each exam completedHIS/RIS:• Ensures timely reporting of exams• Charges exams correctly• Prints Schedules and checks Patient orders • Confirms patient identity with two identifierOrganizational Expectations:• Attendance: Attendance is an essential job function; employee comes to work daily, on time, and completes scheduled shift• HIPAA: facilitates to maintain patient confidentiality• Internal communication: contributes to positive team performance and a culture of service excellence through effective communication, active listening, and respect• Interpersonal relationships: maintains appropriate interpersonal relationships with staff, patients, and visitors at all times. Clinical Rotations will be consideredMust be Registered with the ARRT. RT required. CT required after 18 months of employmentBLS (Basic Life Support) certification requiredMust be registered with the New Hampshire Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
