American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) with at least 2 years of experience for an acute care OR position at a community hospital.Job Details• Work in an acute care OR department with 7 total suites - 4 ORs, 1 procedure room, and 2 endo suites,• Average of approximately 12 cases per day,• Common case types include colonoscopies, EGDs, total joints, C-sections, lap choles, lap appys, tonsillectomies, BMTs, gynecological procedures, ex-laps, and cataract extractions with IOL,• Monday through Friday, day shift, 8-hour shifts from 0700-1530,• Call may be required depending on cost and experience; if applicable, call rotation is 1:6 with a 20-minute response time,• Weekend call coverage runs from Friday at 1530 through Monday at 0700,• Holiday call requirements follow the same structure as weeknight and weekend call,• Floating may be required based on unit need and individual experience or training,• Charting is performed in Cerner,Job Requirements• Minimum of 2 years of surgical first assist experience,• At least 1 year of experience in scrubbing, circulating, or both,• BLS certification required,• CSFA credential required,• Cerner EMR experience preferred,Additional Information• A Clinical Coordinator is present during the day shift; a House Supervisor covers nights from 1500-0700,• Scrubbing skills are preferred for RN candidates in this unit,• 5-week contract in an acute care setting
