Founded in 1975, The Help Group is the largest, most innovative, and comprehensive nonprofit of its kind in the United States serving children, adolescents, and young adults with special needs related to autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, ADHD, developmental delays, and emotional challenges. Our mental health and therapy services extends to more than 6,000 children and their families yearly. Stepping Stones Intensive Day Treatment Program for Preschool Children provides a therapeutic, nurturing and enriching environment for children, ages 2.5 to 5, who need early intervention for social, emotional, behavioral, neurological and/or psychological challenges .Stepping Stones is a comprehensive early intervention program, which utilizes a strengths-based approach to promote social and emotional growth, school readiness and overall family wellness.Your day will include: Provide individual, group, milieu and family treatment (home based family treatment may be required). Routine and frequent collateral work with parents, psychiatrists, teachers, assistants, speech and occupational therapists, caseworkers, and others as needed.Provide therapeutic support to the milieu, as well as clinical guidance to milieu staff. Attend, participate, and/ or lead monthly evening parent trainings, meetings, and/or multifamily groups. Provide case management services, which may include interfacing with Department of Children and Family Service (DCFS), school officials, law enforcement, and others as needed. Provide emergency back up as a van driver or monitor to transport clients to and from program.WHAT THE HELP GROUP IS LOOKING FOR: false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Masters degree in Psychology, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work or Ph.D/Psy.D Must be licensed, license eligible, and/or registered with the BBS as an Intern/ Associate number. Experience working with 2-5 year olds Prefer experience specific to working with children with severe emotional/behavioral challenges. Valid California driver's license with a good driving record and a minimum of three years driving experience. Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to, professional and academic experience, certification, training, responsibilities of the position, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
