Within an hour's travel time, Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks can be enjoyed.Job Summary:Assists the Registered Nurse (RN) and MD/Provider with assessments, examinations and treatments. Performs a variety of technical and patient care duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Performs essential functions of the Unit Secretary. Assists in the daily functioning of the department. Functions as triage tech.Job Requirements:Education and Work Experience: High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred Two years' technical experience: Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification: Preferred Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medical Assistant (CMA) or Paramedic certification: Preferred Phlebotomist Technician license: Preferred Facility Specific License/Certifications: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or National Emergency Medical Tech (NEMT) or Paramedic (PM): Required Phlebotomy Tech (CPT) or Certified Phlebotomy Technician II (CPTII) or NHA Certified Phlebotomy Tech (CPT-NHA): Required Essential Functions: Assists the Registered Nurse (RN) and physician with assessments, examinations and treatments. Documents patient care performed, including vital signs, bedside care and observations. Maintains state of readiness by maintaining equipment/supplies appropriate to the position. Assists in cost containment through the appropriate ordering and conserving of supplies and equipment. Provides patient and family education and mentors and trains staff on technical skills within scope of practice. Prioritizes patient care and department needs, sets goals, and organizes time to meet daily demands of nursing care. Documents patient care performed, including vital signs, bedside care and observations. Records and collects specimens. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
