We need an OB Surgical Tech for our Women's/Labor and Delivery Unit. Current BLS Required. NRP Preferred but not required. Baby friendly educational requirements preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent needed. Need minimum of 2 years recent OBT experience in a busy L&D unit or graduate from Surgical Scrub Program with certification. The function of the OB Tech in the Women and Newborn Health Services is to work with the RN in a UAP (unlicensed assistive personnel) Practice model of care by AWHONN Guidelines. Must have knowledge of all patient care equipment used at the OBT level. Must have basic computer skills with knowledge of software needed for patient care. Shifts are 12 hours x3 per week. OT is after 36 hours per week. OT is paid at 1.25 x base rate. Holiday pay is paid at 1.5 x base rate. 36 hours scheduled guaranteed and there may be opportunities to pick up extra shifts. ON CALL IS NOT REQUIRED. Traveler to start asap. Please include skills checklist if possible at the request of Director.
