Informatics Strategy - Contribute to the development and execution of nursing /clinical informatics strategies aligned with healthcare goals, applicable policies/procedures and regulatory standards. 2. Workflow Optimization - Collaborate with nursing and clinical leadership to identify opportunities for leveraging technology to optimize clinical workflows, improving efficiency and patient outcomes. 3. System Integration - Work with IT teams to integrate nursing / clinical informatics solutions seamlessly into existing healthcare systems, ensuring interoperability and data integrity. 4. Training and Education - Assist in developing and delivering training programs for nursing / clinical staff on the use of informatics tools and technologies, promoting a culture of digital competence. 5. Data Governance - Participate in the establishment and enforcement of data governance policies related to nursing data, ensuring accuracy, security, and compliance. 6. Clinical Decision Support - Contribute to the design and implementation of clinical decision support systems, enhancing the ability of nursing / clinical staff to make informed and timely decisions. 7. Quality Improvement - Utilize nursing / clinical informatics data to identify areas for quality improvement, collaborating with stakeholders to implement evidence-based best applicable practices. 8. Interdisciplinary Collaboration - Facilitate collaboration between nursing, IT, and other clinical departments to ensure a holistic approach to healthcare informatics. 9. Vendor Management - Work with vendors to evaluate, select, and implement nursing / clinical informatics solutions that align with organizational needs and standards. 10. Regulatory Compliance - Stay abreast of healthcare informatics regulations and standards, ensuring compliance and advocating for best practices. Detailed Responsibilities: 1. Assisting the Chief Nursing Informatics Officer: The ACNIO is responsible for assisting the Chief Nursing Informatics Officer (CNIO) in the development and implementation of nursing / clinical informatics strategies. 2. Assisting in managing the nursing /clinical informatics department: The ACNIO is responsible for assisting in managing the nursing / clinical informatics department and ensuring that it is aligned with the overall goals of the organization. This is usually done by assisting with prioritization of work requested. 3. Developing and implementing policies and procedures: The ACNIO is responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures related to nursing / clinical informatics. 4. Assisting in providing training and education: The ACNIO is responsible for assisting in providing training and education to staff on the use of informatics systems. 5. Ensuring data accuracy and integrity: The ACNIO is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data collected through informatics systems. 6. Collaborating with other departments: The ACNIO is responsible for collaborating with other departments to ensure that informatics-related activities are aligned with the overall goals of the organization. 7. Assists in managing all informatics-related projects: The ACNIO is responsible for assisting in managing all informatics-related projects, including the development and implementation of new systems. 8. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements: The ACNIO is responsible for ensuring that all informatics-related activities comply with regulatory requirements. 9. Staying up to date with industry trends: The ACNIO is responsible for staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments in nursing informatics. 10. Assisting in the management of the budget: The ACNIO is responsible for assisting in the management of the budget for the I/T department.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesPatient Group Knowledge (Only applies to positions with direct patient contact)The employee must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department's identified patient ages.
