Providing essential psychological services within a Pueblo of Acoma, NM school setting, this contract position offers the opportunity to deliver support during both the Extended School Year (ESY) and the regular school year. The role focuses on offering counseling services, conducting psychoeducational evaluations, and actively participating in special education programs to promote student success. Key Responsibilities: Deliver counseling services to students during ESY (June 2026) and the regular school year (August 2026 - June 2027). Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to determine eligibility for Special Education and Gifted and Talented programs. Maintain accurate service logs and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing valuable psychological insights. Collaborate effectively with educational staff to provide general psychological support to the school community. Qualifications and Experience: Current license as a psychologist. Proven experience in conducting psychological and educational evaluations. Solid understanding of IEP development and familiarity with special education procedures. Experience with or willingness to work within the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) system. Strong organizational skills with attention to managing documentation and compliance. Work Schedule: ESY services required once per week for approximately 4 hours during June 2026. For the 2026-2027 school year, services anticipated 2-3 days per week, approximately 6 hours daily.
