Specialty Medical Staffing is currently seeking a Director of Pharmacy (PIC) for an interim assignment at a hospital in Clewiston, FL. This role will provide pharmacy leadership, oversee daily operations, and support regulatory readiness and compliance. Assignment Details Start: Training begins April 1 PIC Coverage: Starting April 6, ongoing until permanent hire Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30/5:00pm No weekend coverage required Requirements Active Florida Pharmacist License in good standing Florida Consultant Pharmacist License required Minimum 3+ years of pharmacy management experience Strong inpatient hospital experience required Experience with IV compounding and regulatory/compliance standards Responsibilities Pharmacy leadership and oversight Regulatory and compliance support Preparation for accreditation and inspections Clinical and operational support as needed Collaboration with pharmacy staff and hospital leadership Additional Information Critical access hospital setting Technician support onsite Order entry system: CPSI (training available) Automation: Omnicell (training available) Training provided onsite prior to full coverage Travel considerations may be reviewed if needed Dress code: Business attire Credentialing Requirements Background check Education verification Drug screen TB test Hospital onboarding paperwork HIPAA training Code of Conduct attestation Want to learn more about what it is like to work for SMS?
