As one of the busiest freestanding emergency rooms in the country, our Fairlane ER delivers fast, high-quality care for patients with urgent medical needs. Our on-site services include laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, and a Walk-In Clinic, treating non-emergency concerns such as fever, eye infections, rashes, coughs, deep cuts, and fractures. GENERAL SUMMARY: Assist with patient care based on individual needs within the scope of practice under direct supervision of a registered nurse or Provider. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: * High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. * BCLS certification required. * Previous Emergency Department Technician, Medical Assistant experience preferred. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: One of the following certifications/programs required: * B-EMT * Graduate from a formal Medical Assistant program. * Completion of a formal nursing education program. * Completion of a formal medical doctor education program * OR One (1) year of applicable Emergency Room Technical experience in lieu of above completed certification/program. Additional Requirements: * (Must complete applicable certification/program within 12 months of hire). * Successful completion of a 180-day orientation period required. * EMT license preferred.
