Job Purpose: * The Child Psychiatrist at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER will provide specialized mental health care to children and adolescents. The role involves diagnosing, treating, and helping prevent mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders in young patients. The psychiatrist will work closely with families and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans that promote mental well-being and support the developmental needs of children. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations of children and adolescents to diagnose mental health conditions. * Develop individualized treatment plans that may include psychotherapy, medication management, and other therapeutic interventions. * Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, and pediatricians, to ensure comprehensive care for patients. * Provide consultation and education to families regarding their child's mental health condition and treatment options. * Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. * Stay informed about the latest developments in child psychiatry to incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care. * Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and continuing education activities to maintain professional competency. * Advocate for the mental health needs of children within the community and contribute to public awareness efforts.
