Out-Of-School Time Group Leader Job DescriptionNature of WorkUnder the site director's leadership, the employee will undertake various tasks within the OOST classroom, assuming responsibility for a group of children aged five to twelve, as assigned by the director. Ensuring the safety and well-being of the children will be the employee's top priority. The employee will design engaging activities to stimulate the children's desire to learn and play in the classroom. Additionally, the employee will be responsible for all cleaning tasks within their assigned area. The employee will work a minimum of three hours a day, fifteen to twenty hours per week. Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist the director with snack Ensuring safety measures are met daily Encourages positive behavior Empowers students Assist students with homework Performs general cleaning duties in the classroom Creates and implements engaging activities with students Provides a positive environment for students Designs Lesson plans with active outdoor activities, and hands-on activities in the classroom Flexible schedule for teacher workdays, school closures, spring/winter breakMinimum Training & Experience 18 years of age CPR/First Aid Certified preferred or willing to obtain BSAC certified or willing to obtain
