Meriden Public Schools is seeking a Job Coach for the 2024-2025 school year at CCC. The Job Coach is an assistant to the Collaborative Teacher and is to perform the tasks assigned by the teacher and the communicate all questions and concerns to the teacher.The Job Coach must:1) Become familiar with each student's IEP and vocational objectives designed for the work site2) Communicate with your supervisor about job training sites on a systematic and consistent basis, including problems and concerns.3) Maintain confidentiality about all personal information and educational records concerning students and their families.4) Follow district policies for protecting the health, safety, and well-being of students.5) Collect and record data about student performance.6) Follow through with suggestions and procedures given by your supervisor.7) Facilitate communication with employers, as appropriate.8) Serve as a link between the school and the community work setting.9) Develop appropriate vocational and social skills within the classroom environment10) Write transition/vocational summary reports for Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings11) All other related tasks as assigned by the supervisorRequired Physical Effort:- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk at an assigned location(s) and work for extended periods of time; bend/stoop, kneel, and balance frequently; climb, reach above shoulder level; push/pull, squat, and crouch. - Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.- Must be able to drive a multi-passenger van for extended periods of time throughout the day.Qualifications:- High School graduate- Experience working with students with special needs- Familiarity with the greater Meriden community- Must hold a driver's license with the "A" endorsement or the willingness to obtain- Bilingual is a plus- All immunizations and vaccinations required to work in a medical facility are required for this positionPosition Description:- 5.5 hours per day- $23.87/hour-This position is available for the 2025-2026 School YearThe Meriden Board of Education is an equal employment opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, age, sex, disability, national origin, marital, gender identity or expression, veteran or other protected class status under applicable law in any of its education programs, activities or employment policies.
