This position is for a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) at a specialized integrated pharmacy embedded within a behavioral health hospital. The pharmacy operates as a closed-door facility focused solely on dispensing behavioral health medications and supporting hospital medication needs in an efficient, high-volume environment. This role requires a licensed pharmacist with management experience ready to lead the pharmacy team. Location: Wichita Falls, TX Type: Contract-to-Hire, Local Only Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Responsibilities include overseeing pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing workflow, and collaborating closely with hospital staff to support behavioral health medication dispensing. The pharmacy uses Enterprise RX software and does not provide vaccine services. The script volume ranges between 350-400 prescriptions per day. Key Qualifications: • Valid Texas pharmacist license required • Minimum 1 year of PIC or pharmacy management experience • At least 2 years of pharmacist experience (retail experience acceptable) • Ability to manage and lead pharmacy workflow and staff in a closed-door setting This role is urgent due to the current PIC transitioning to a new position with a final day of March 6. The pharmacy team currently includes one staff pharmacist and four pharmacy technicians, requiring a strong leader to maintain smooth operations.
