Resumes will be accepted through March 31, 2026.Position Summary:Jewish Family Service is looking for a Psychotherapist for our Denver and Boulder locations. This position counsels and advises individuals, groups, families, and/or couples to promote optimum mental and emotional health, and provides mental health treatment and case management services for the benefit of the client and the community.Notes From the Hiring Manager:This position will be in person three days per week. Up to two days per week in the Denver office, 3201 S. Tamarac Dr., Denver, CO 80231. One day per week in the Boulder office, 6007 Oreg Avenue, Boulder, CO 80303. Four hours of evening availability is required.May need to occasionally work a weekend day.Essential Functions:Provides outpatient mental health counseling to individuals, groups, families, and/or couples.Provides case management services to clients as needed.Maintains confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment.Prepares and maintains all required treatment records and reports according to JFS requirements.Fills out and maintains client-related paperwork, including federal- and state-mandated forms, client diagnostic records, and progress notes within the timeframe set by JFS requirements.Guides clients in the development of skills or strategies for dealing with their problems.Modifies treatment activities or approaches as needed to comply with changes in clients' status.Collaborates with mental health professionals and other staff members, such as nurse practitioners or psychiatrists, to perform clinical assessments or develop treatment plans. Refers patients, clients, or family members to wrap-around JFS programs, community resources, or specialists as necessary.Acts as a client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.Learns about new developments in counseling by reading professional literature, attending courses and seminars, or establishing and maintaining contact with other social service agencies.Maintains a productivity standard as set by the agency. Attends staff meetings and serves on agency committees.Other duties as assigned.RequirementsEducation:A master's or doctoral degree in counseling or a related field from a CACREP-accredited program. Experience:Preferred three to five years of experience in individual, group, family, and/or couples' therapy.Other:Familiarity with the DSM-5 and diagnostic techniques. Knowledge of Medicaid chart compliance requirements preferred.Proficiency with Word and experience using electronic health records.Ability to use email, client information database systems, and patient electronic medical record (EMR) software.Certification/Licensing: License preferred (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PsyD, or PhD). All mental health clinicians must register with CAQH (Council for Affordable Quality Health) within seven days of date of hire. All unlicensed clinicians must register with the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) prior to the start date and must remain in active status throughout JFS employment.Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneWork Environment: In-Office (Hybrid Possible) Position: Work is primarily performed in our office at 3201 South Tamarac Dr., Denver 80231. Work hours are generally during regular business hours, with occasional flexibility required to support agency needs.Essential physical requirements: Frequently sitting and typing.
