The Sleep Lab Technician works under the direction of the Respiratory Care Manager to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, including in-center sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, and comprehensive direct patient education. The position available is:Per Diem, 24 hours per pay period, Night shift (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - flexible), Non-BenefitedEssential Duties Include:Collects, analyzes, and integrates patient information in order to identify and meet the patient-specific needs regarding the testing procedure, pertinent medical and social history.Determines the final testing parameters/procedures in conjunction with the ordering provider and laboratory protocols. Applies electrode/sensors and performs appropriate physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals and make adjustments, if necessary. Recognizes and provide age specific care in the treatment, assessment, and education of pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Educational Qualifications:• High School graduate or equivalent• Current certification in RPSGT or CPSGT• 2 years of sleep lab experience preferred• Scoring sleep studies in an AASM accredited lab is preferred• Current BLS certification• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Basic computer knowledgeYour future starts here.
