Facility: This facility is a Level 2 trauma center with Level 3 pediatric capabilities. The neurosurgery department collaborates with two neurosurgeons who require advanced practice provider support for clinic, call, and surgical responsibilities. The facility offers comprehensive neurosurgical services with modern technology and a collaborative team environment. Opportunity: Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner This is a full-time locum tenens opportunity due to FMLA coverage. The position requires an APC with recent neurosurgery experience, including surgical cases, who can provide comprehensive support to the neurosurgery team. Job Details: 10-12 patients per day in clinical settings Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm 12-hour shifts also available Call frequency 1:3 weekdays/weekends with 20-minute beeper response time Surgical first assist for procedures including craniotomy, craniectomy, spinal fusions, decompressive surgeries, and interventions for aneurysms, tumors, and nerve injuries Perform bedside procedures Round independently in all hospital units including NICU, PICU, Peds, ICU (surgical and medical), and general med/surg floor Handle hospital and ER/UC consults Manage clinic duties including outpatient consultations, post-operative/post-hospital patient care, fracture care, patient phone calls, medication refills, and FMLA documentation Start date: ASAP with ongoing assignment Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
