Position Summary: The Area Director of Clinical Operations & Engagement oversees the clinical care for a localized population of patients and provides direct management of the clinical members of that care team. Core functions are to enhance the performance of the entire team through facilitating the work of the various members in the areas of clinical performance and quality, patient satisfaction, compliance with Eventus clinical protocols, processes and procedures, and achievement of productivity expectations as measured by patients receiving needed services. Three areas of responsibility include: (1) Team Leadership/Supervision, (2) Care Team Clinical Integration, and (3) Clinical Services ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive, other duties may be assigned: Team Leadership/Supervision 1. Oversee the clinical performance and achievement of productivity expectations of Care Team members: Foster an engaging culture among all teammatesManage adherence to established and documented Eventus clinical standards, processes and procedures as written by specialty specific clinical directors. Receive and react to clinical quality data reportsRegularly review documentation and coding of all care team members to ensure compliance and qualityReceive and analyze clinical quality data and provider productivity reports; reacting and counseling team members, as needed, to maintain standardsHandle general practice clinical questions. Collaborate with collaborating physicians, clinical leaders, and/or director of clinical services, when specialty specific guidance is needed.Act as clinical and workflow expert for providers within the team and help facilitate the resolution of clinical inquiries from providers, facility personnel, and family membersRegularly visit on site with care team members to observe and optimize clinical skills and workflow 2. Partner to create an environment of clear responsibility, authority, autonomy, and accountability that energizes and encourages staff to perform at their personal best: Manage care team members as assignedEnsure providers are performing clinical duties including caring for all assigned patients. Receive reports on provider productivity and react as needed to maintain standardsWork to resolve clinical management issues such as attendance, documentation, adherence to clinical policies and procedures, and all clinical dutiesCollaborate with the care team administration and regional operators to ensure metrics are met 3.Ensure that all patients in your care team receive the services they need. Track the caseloads in each building and monitor for adherence to best practices for medically necessary visitsWork to assign providers to facilities/patients to be sure that all services are covered for each building based on those contractedMonitor for any absences in coverage for reasons such as PTO, resignations, relocations, or territory realignment and ensure other coverage is foundPerform clinical duties to ensure that gaps in coverage do not exist 4.Assist in growth of the team though hiring and recruiting: Monitor territory of providers, work with CTC to track monthly all of a providers' territories, caseload, and scheduleBe aware of any providers with modeled capacity or interest in additional workWork with business development on starting new buildings promptlyAssist with interview process and coordination of remote and field interview with clinical experts for the open positionAssist with non-specialty specific education and training and onboarding of new providers 5.Maintain a customer service focus and assist with problem-solving of facility issues: Maintain active knowledge of leadership at all team facilitiesVisit all facilities in team quarterlyBe available as first call from facilities for any concerns they are having. Work between the facility and your clinical team or Eventus internal support to determine a resolution. Communicate resolution back to the facility. Care Team Clinical Integration Ensure team cohesion through communication, setting expectations, and leading regular team meetingsPromote interdisciplinary collaboration through coordination with all service linesEncourage cohesion of workflow and clinical issues for process improvement and provider satisfactionKeep team informed of all recommendations for process improvements, clinical issues, employee, facility customer or patient/family issuesCreate and maintain a team spirit and positive patient focused culture among all the clinicians on the team Clinical Services Perform clinical services within the standards of Eventus WholeHealth clinicians for area of clinical specialty Provide backup and fill-in clinical services (e.g., PTO and uncovered buildings coverage) when needed and work alongside providers in trainings or starting up new buildings, to ensure that all patients within the care team are serviced. Clinical services are expected to be at least 20% of the productivity requirements of a same specialty FT provider. EDUCATION AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS Clinical Masters or Doctoral DegreeNational certification for area of specialtyUnrestricted license in area of specialty within the state of practice SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Previous or current long-term care experience requiredExperience leading integrated healthcare teams a plusDemonstrated experience with an Electronic Health Record (EMR) and/or practice management system Excellent PC skills requiredStrong leadership skills and the ability to effectively coach, motivate, and develop others.Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills, with the ability to bring individuals together.Ability to work collaboratively and coordinate care with a multi-disciplinary team Ability to effectively handle multiple prioritiesPossess outstanding organization skills and an ability to multi-task while maintaining a customer focusDemonstrate creativity, problem-solving, adaptability, and flexibilityKnowledge of HIPAA privacy lawsMust possess an understanding and adherence of legal and regulatory agency rules and guidelinesDrive to help patients and staff with tact and diplomacy LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in verbal and written form.Strong communication skills and a customer service attitude.Must be able to frequently communicate with facilities and patients and/or with others about patient or provider requirements, complaints, and common inquiries.
