The Genetic Counselor is responsible for providing comprehensive reproductive genetic counseling to a diverse patient population in a variety of settings, following established genetic counseling practice guidelines and procedures. This individual will be responsible for providing virtual prenatal genetic counseling services in California, but may have the opportunity to work in person, in the greater Los Angeles County area. This person will also support our Genetic Results Delivery team. The candidates are required to reside in California and have a California GC license.Additional Information:Provide comprehensive reproductive genetic counseling services for a wide variety of indications via video conference, phone, or in person in the greater Southern CA area.Responsible for documentation to physicians and patients, and to ensure proper completion of counseling paperwork and GC reporting within established timeframes.Responsible for the communication of relevant results and coordinating appropriate follow-up, per client-specific requirements.Provide results counseling and report writing for carrier screening and non-invasive cfDNA results.Requirements:MA/MS in Human Genetics/Genetic CounselingABGC/ABMG certification or active candidate status requiredHighly organized, including excellent time management skillsStrong multi-tasking ability with excellent attention to detailExcellent communication skills, both written and oralStrong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft OfficePreferred skills Exception Clinical
