Sign-On Bonus (Full-Time Only) Day Shift: Up to $5,000 Evening Shift: Up to $10,000 Night Shift: Up to $15,000Position Summary Wheeler Staffing Partners is hiring Medical Laboratory Technologists (MLT/CLS) for hospital facilities in the Detroit area. In this role, you will perform a wide range of laboratory tests on patient specimens, analyze and interpret results, and ensure the highest standards of quality and accuracy in a clinical laboratory setting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced with laboratory instrumentation and quality control standards in a hospital or acute care environment. Key Responsibilities Perform quantitative and qualitative laboratory testing on patient specimens Prepare, analyze, and interpret test results following established procedures Prepare reagents, solutions, media, stains, and other required materials Accurately review and report laboratory results in a timely manner Perform instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control checks Maintain complete and accurate documentation of testing activities Serve as a technical resource for laboratory staff as neededQualifications Education Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Preferred majors include: Medical Technology Clinical Laboratory Science Chemistry Biology Related scientific fieldsCertification Must be registered with an approved certifying agency such as: ASCP NCA AMT CSMLSFor non-U.S. trained candidates, an equivalency evaluation (ECE, NACES, or AICE) must be completed within 30 days of hire. Experience Preferred: 6 months to 1 year of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist in an acute care setting. Licensure Must hold applicable state licensure if required.
