St. John's Episcopal is recruiting for a Clinical Laboratory Generalist II. This position is a Part Time Position - Shift VariesThe Generalists performs qualitative analysis on all specimens received in the laboratory for the station assigned; including Hematology, Blood Bank and Chemistry. Observes the quality control policies and procedures in order to ensure reliable patient results. Documents acceptance of the control results in the LIS, as well as any problems with the controls, and the resolutions to the problem. Recognizes and verifies critical or life-threatening patient test results. Performs the required maintenance on the instruments at the prescribed times and documents this fact in the appropriate logbook or the LIS.Skills & Requirements Associate of Science Bachelor of Science (BS in Lab Science) preferred Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a Blood Bank, Hematology and/or Chemistry Technologist preferred ( recent experience required) A valid NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license is required
