About the Practice: A well-established anesthesia group in western Pennsylvania, located approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes north of Altoona, is seeking a dedicated General Anesthesiologist to join their team. The group provides anesthesia services for a broad range of surgical specialties in a collaborative clinical setting. Opportunity: This full-time General Anesthesiologist position offers a 14 days on/14 days off schedule with a flexible call rotation. The case mix includes general surgery, urology, orthopedics, plastics, ENT, robotics, light OB, and rare pediatrics. The group welcomes applications from both experienced anesthesiologists and graduating residents. Responsibilities: Provide and manage anesthesia for a wide variety of surgical procedures including general surgery, urology, orthopedics, plastics, ENT, robotics, light OB, rare peds. Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia patient evaluations and develop individualized anesthetic plans. Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care utilizing current techniques and medications. Continuously monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthetic delivery to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical conditions. Manage emergence from anesthesia and provide appropriate post-anesthesia care. Participate in a flexible call schedule. Maintain accurate and complete patient records in accordance with practice policies and procedures. Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all safety protocols. Qualifications: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. Board certification in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) or the American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology 1 (AOBA) or board-eligible. Current unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania (or eligibility for licensure). Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Strong clinical skills and the ability to manage a diverse patient population and case mix. Proficiency in a variety of anesthetic techniques, including general and regional anesthesia. Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Effective communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. A commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. Lifestyle & Location: This region of western Pennsylvania offers a family-friendly community with many outdoor activities. The area provides a relaxed lifestyle and is located approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes north of Altoona, offering reasonable access to additional amenities and events. Compensation and Benefits: Annual Salary: $570,000 on a W-2 basis. Schedule: Full-time, 14 days on/14 days off. Call is 24hrs, home call. Sign-On Bonus: $25,000.
