Job DescriptionJob Title: Physical Therapist Center Director / Physical Therapist / Physical Therapist Assistant Locations: Colorado (Multiple Openings) Open Positions: Physical Therapist Assistant - Pueblo, CO Pay Rate: $27.08 - $35.00 per hour Center Therapy Director (Physical Therapist) - Pueblo, CO Salary: $100,000 - $107,000 annually Physical Therapist - Float - Colorado Springs, CO Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 annuallyEmployment Type: Direct HireWork Schedule: Monday - Friday | Typically 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMPractice Setting: Outpatient Orthopedic Rehabilitation Sign-On Bonus: Available (paid after 1 year; no repayment required) Position Overview Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, and Center Therapy Directors to support outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation clinics in Colorado. These roles focus on helping patients recover from work-related injuries, surgeries, and chronic orthopedic conditions, with the goal of improving mobility, reducing pain, and returning patients safely to normal function and work activities. The practice environment is fast-paced outpatient orthopedic therapy, typically seeing 2-3 patients simultaneously, with strong collaboration between physicians and therapy staff to initiate treatment as soon as patients are evaluated. New graduates and Physical Therapist Licensed Applicants (PTLAs) are encouraged to apply. Visa sponsorship candidates, including H1B applicants, may also be considered. Patient Population Employees with workers' compensation injuries (majority of cases) Patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries or non-work-related injuriesPractice Environment Outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation setting Collaborative physician and therapy care model Immediate therapy initiation following physician evaluation Fast-paced, patient-focused treatment environmentKey Responsibilities - Physical Therapists & Center Therapy Directors Patient Care & Rehabilitation Provide direct patient care focused on restoring mobility, reducing pain, and improving functional outcomes Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans Execute therapy programs emphasizing early intervention and safe return-to-work outcomes Maintain accurate documentation and clinical recordsClinical Leadership (Center Director Role) Provide leadership and mentorship to therapy staff while maintaining an active patient care presence Monitor clinical outcomes and address complex patient cases Ensure effective patient scheduling, referral processing, and clinical workflows Maintain high standards for patient satisfaction and care qualityOperational & Performance Management Monitor and manage clinical performance metrics and quality outcomes Participate in meetings and collaboration with clinical leadership teams Support business operations including workflow optimization and staffing support Maintain relationships with employers, referral sources, and payer partnersCompliance & Quality Ensure compliance with state practice acts and workers' compensation regulations Maintain proper clinical documentation and coding standards Protect patient confidentiality and maintain HIPAA complianceKey Responsibilities - Physical Therapist Assistant Clinical Care Assist Physical Therapists in implementing established treatment plans Provide therapy treatments including therapeutic exercises and modalities Document treatments and patient progress according to clinical guidelines Monitor patient responses and communicate progress to supervising Physical TherapistPatient Coordination & Communication Communicate with physicians, therapy staff, and other healthcare providers regarding patient progress Assist in preparing progress reports and treatment updates for referring physicians Educate patients on treatment plans and return-to-work expectationsOperational Support Assist with tracking patient appointments and maintaining acceptable attendance rates Support documentation of therapy outcomes and performance metrics Assist in maintaining equipment and therapy spaceTeam Collaboration Assist in training therapy support staff and students when applicable Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development Support team collaboration and clinical excellence within the centerRequired Qualifications - Physical Therapist / Center Therapy Director Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from an accredited program Active Physical Therapist license in the applicable state (or eligibility to obtain) Clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy preferred Strong leadership and patient care skills for Director roles Excellent communication and teamwork abilitiesRequired Qualifications - Physical Therapist Assistant Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Active PTA license in the applicable state Experience in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting preferred Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and exercise protocolsPreferred Qualifications Experience with workers' compensation rehabilitation Outpatient orthopedic therapy experience Strong clinical documentation and patient care skillsSkills & Competencies Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced outpatient setting Excellent communication and patient education skills Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality and HIPAA complianceWhy Work with Wheeler Staffing Partners Wheeler Staffing Partners connects talented healthcare professionals with leading organizations across the United States.
