This travel pharmacist opportunity in Palo Verde, CA offers a unique chance to work independently in a critical care environment supporting the Emergency Department. With an assignment duration of 8-10 weeks starting in early March, this role requires a dedicated pharmacist to manage clinical responsibilities while collaborating with nursing staff and support services. Schedule & Hours: 3 to 4 shifts per week 12-hour shifts, typically 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Possible 7-on/7-off schedule consideration Some on-call night shifts required Key Responsibilities: Provide pharmacy support to the Emergency Department, including medication management and clinical decision-making Respond promptly to Code Blue events and emergencies Accurately compound sterile and non-sterile medications as needed Act as a clinical resource to nursing staff and patients to ensure quality care Collaborate with laboratory, radiology, and cardiology support services Qualifications & Desired Experience: Active California Pharmacist license required Hospital inpatient pharmacy experience strongly preferred Demonstrated expertise in sterile and non-sterile compounding Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and clinical judgment This position is ideal for pharmacists who thrive in autonomous roles and want to make a significant impact in an emergency care setting.
