An opportunity is available for an Interim Pharmacy Manager to lead operations at a small community hospital located in Southern California. This 100-bed facility has an average daily census of 45 patients and requires a dedicated professional to hold the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) position during a contract spanning approximately 13 weeks, with an ASAP start. Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership and oversight of pharmacy personnel, ensuring smooth workflow and optimal productivity Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements; currently DNV accredited with plans to transition to The Joint Commission (TJC) Manage pharmacy budget and operational performance Oversee the 340B outpatient pharmacy program Utilize IT systems including Cerner and Pyxis Collaborate with the healthcare team to support patient care Schedule: Monday through Friday day shifts Potential to explore a four-day workweek with 10-hour shifts Qualifications and Desired Experience: Active California Pharmacist license Proven management experience in a hospital pharmacy setting Willingness and capability to serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge Strong interpersonal skills with the resilience needed to manage a challenging staff environment This contract role is ideal for a confident manager ready to take on the responsibility of leading a busy pharmacy team while maintaining high standards in a community hospital setting.
