Zurich North America is hiring a RCIS UA Associate or a RCIS UA Analyst to join the Crop Servicing team in Anoka, Minnesota or Sioux Falls, South Dakota! As a RCIS UA Associate and/or RCIS UA Analyst, you will support crop insurance agent customers, work closely with experienced Underwriters in the review and analysis of risks. Crop Underwriting Associates and/or Analysts perform various tasks. Responsibilities include reviewing and evaluating crop insurance policies, while adhering to company policies, state, and federal guidelines within their established authority.This position is a hybrid model that supports a blend of office and remote work from either the Anoka, MN or Sioux Falls, SD area.In this role you will be responsible for:Ensure complete and accurate crop insurance policy underwriting by reviewing applications, written agreements, policy change forms, actual production history (APH) databases, acreage reports (AR), gathering missing information, resolving inconsistencies, and outlining next steps.Respond to and process requests from claims and compliance departments related to the underwriting of policies.Rectify errors and issues identified in the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) Error Report.Specific duties as assigned by the leadership team to underwrite and support regional specialty crops. Regional specializations, i.e., Category C crops, whole-farm revenue protection, or Livestock Products.Supports Underwriter with broker/agent/distributor/customer interactions by providing outstanding customer service skills.The role will be filled at the RCIS UA Associate or RCIS UA Analyst level. The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant's experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.Basic Qualifications:RCIS UA AssociateBachelor's degree and no prior experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance areaORZurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associate Degree and no prior experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance areaORHigh School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance areaANDKnowledge of data collection and analysisMicrosoft Office experienceOR RCIS UA AnalystBachelor's degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Insurance, Underwriting, Finance, Accounting or Banking area. ORZurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associates Degree and 2 or mor years of experience in the Insurance, Underwriting, Finance, Accounting or Banking area. ORHigh School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the Insurance, Underwriting, Insurance, Underwriting, Finance, Accounting or Banking area. ANDKnowledge of the insurance industry and the legal and regulatory environment.Experience with data collection and analysisExperience with processing, rating and policy management systems used in the insurance industry. Knowledge of processing, rating and policy management systems used in the insurance or financial industry.Customer service experienceProblem solving experienceExperience servicing product portfolios for multiple lines of business for insurance or financial industry.Microsoft Office experiencePreferred Qualifications:Insurance industry knowledge applicable to underwriting rules and proceduresKnowledge of agriculture, livestock, and/or multi-peril crop insurance and specialty programsSuperior skills in relationship building, active listening with customers and co-workersStrong verbal and written communication skillsCustomer service experienceEnjoys working with details and providing accurate data and/or information in a timely mannerProficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe AcrobatAbility to multi-task5% TravelYour pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. The proposed hourly rate for the RCIS Crop UA Associate is $23.80 - $38.94, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 5%. The proposed salary range for the RCIS Crop UA Analyst is $54,500.00 - $89,200.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%.
