The primary purpose of the/nposition is to ensure adherence to air pollution requirements throughout the/nstate by supervising lower-level Environmental Compliance Specialists. The/nincumbent in position performs supervisory duties focused on environmental/nregulatory compliance. /n MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Applicants/nmust satisfy the minimum qualifications to be considered for this position and/nmove forward in the hiring process. Please read all requirements before/napplying./nExperience:Eight years of experience performing environmental regulatory/ncompliance work in the areas of water pollution control; sediment and erosion/ncontrol; tidal and non-tidal wetlands; flood control and waterway construction;/nstorm water management; coal, non-coal and surface mining; air quality and air/nmanagement control; solid waste management; hazardous waste control; and oil/npollution control./n/nNotes:/n/n1. Candidates may substitute sixty credit hours from an accredited/ncollege or university which includes thirty credit hours in any combination of/ndisciples such as earth science, environmental science, geology, civil or/nenvironmentalengineering, biology, chemistry, agronomy, forestry or other/nrelated disciplineandtwo years of experience performing/nenvironmental regulatory inspection or investigation work related to State,/nfederal or local regulation, code or standardcompliance for four years of/nthe required experience./n/n2.
