UCHealth Parkview and the Hospital Medicine group are ready to welcome a Board Eligible/Board Certified Nocturnist to their team. At UCHealth, we believe each person is extraordinary, and together, we make extraordinary possible.Job Description:Seeking an enthusiastic candidate interested in working full-time and focused on excellent patient care.Work a comfortable schedule of six-on-nine-off.Physicians will work 144 twelve-hour shifts per year as a full-time employee with extra shifts available.Work with a supportive team that is ready to mentor the next generation of physicians and wants to see their partners succeed.Night physicians will provide support to APPs who will cover patients at both locations.Our Nocturnists primarily cover Parkview Medical Center (370 beds).Closed ICU. Fully staffed ER. ICU is staffed with fellows/residents. No in-house ICU attending but fellows run it.EPIC EMR utilized system-wide.We know how fast the world of healthcare is changing, and we push ourselves to stay ahead of the curve. UCHealth physicians and advanced practice providers aim to anticipate and address patients' every health need. We call on physicians in every career stage and specialty to lead and provide direction for the future of healthcare at UCHealth.Procedures are not required but physicians are able to do them if they have the clearance to do so. House staff is usually covering the emergent needs, but Hospitalists are to report to codes and rapids to assist and oversee transition of care. Census: APP provides cross coverage. They are addressing about 100 patients per night. Average is about 125-130 at Parkview Main and only about 20 or so at Pueblo West Hospital. Currently, Nocturnists see any cross coverage that arises, ICU transfers, plus 7-10 admits. Nocturnist physicians are expected to provide medical care to assigned patient population, maintain timely and appropriate documentation of such care, and actively participate in medical staff duties.At UCHealth, our mission is simple - to improve lives.
