Job Description

We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you'll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disordersMinimum Requirements: Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science programCurrent state respiratory therapist license in good standing with Ohio licensing boardRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialMinimum one year experience as an RRT in an acute care hospital settingBLS certification requiredExperience operating and maintaining mechanical ventilators and providing invasive and non-invasive ventilationCompetence with arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation, oximetry, and capnography monitoringExperience performing suctioning, tracheostomy care, endotracheal tube insertion and removal, and chest physiotherapyAbility to perform 12-lead EKGs and basic arrhythmia recognitionFamiliarity with pulmonary function testing (NIF, VC) and assisting with bronchoscopy and chest tube proceduresAbility to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to BLS and ACLS guidelinesClient preference: experience in hospitals with moderate complexity labs and familiarity with specimen handling and lab-related policies (preferred)Assignment DetailsFacility Type: HospitalPrimary Specialty: Registered Respiratory TherapistShift Name: NightsShift Pattern: Night (3x12)Duration: 13 week assignmentPositions Available: 1Candidate may be required to float within the client's hospital system as neededLocation Highlights The assignment is located in Columbus, OH, offering a mix of urban and recreational amenities.
