A retail pharmacy facility in Altoona, PA, seeks an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead its pharmacy department. This direct hire role offers 36 hours per week with a variable day/afternoon shift schedule. The position requires a proactive leader focused on driving operational excellence, associate engagement, and superior customer service to enhance pharmacy performance and growth. Key Responsibilities: Foster collaboration with the store operations team and communicate company strategy to pharmacy staff. Ensure prescription accuracy and compliance through thorough Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance following state and federal regulations. Manage pharmacy profitability by promoting clinical programs, immunizations, and Medication Therapy Management (MTM) initiatives. Collaborate with pharmacy leadership to control inventory, track sales, and order stock to maximize customer satisfaction and profits. Align department objectives with key performance metrics to measure efficiency and effectiveness. Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff; lead training, coaching, and disciplinary actions. Maintain pharmacy security and regulatory compliance. Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints, building trust and loyalty. Engage with healthcare providers to clarify prescription-related questions. Oversee pharmacy cleanliness, orderly operations, and continuous personnel development. Prioritize and complete essential pharmacy tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and customer will-calls.
