A skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist is needed for a contract position in a dynamic respiratory therapy unit. This opportunity requires a professional with strong clinical expertise, especially in NICU and ICU environments, who can deliver high-quality respiratory care across all patient age groups. The assignment is for 13 weeks, offering a steady schedule. Schedule/Hours: Night shift: 7 PM 36 hours per week guaranteed Every other weekend required No on-call responsibilities Essential Qualifications: Active RRT credential Minimum of 2 years hospital experience Demonstrated ICU, NICU, and Emergency Department skills Ability to independently draw arterial blood gases (ABGs) Current BLS certification Proficiency in Meditech documentation Superior patient communication and service skills Preferred Experience: Familiarity with Servo I ventilators Working knowledge of I-Stat analyzers Key Responsibilities: Perform all required respiratory care procedures: ABG draws, assisting with intubations, nebulizer therapy, Metaneb, IPPB, and CPT Provide therapy to diverse patient populations, spanning neonatal through geriatric patients Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes Deliver care in accordance with established policies and attend to detail in charting and procedural work Maintain a professional appearance at all times: black scrubs (purchase required), clean and natural nails, hair pulled back if long, and minimal visible body art or piercings This position offers the chance to advance your skills in a modern, multidisciplinary setting that values quality, teamwork, and a patient-first approach.
