We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Carbondale, IL where you'll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.Minimum Requirements: Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.Current Illinois state respiratory therapist license in good standing.Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.At least one year of recent experience practicing as an RRT in an acute care setting such as a hospital.BLS certification required.ACLS required for roles in Emergency Department, ICU, Step Down, and PCU per client requirements.PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS are required for Emergency Department roles at several client hospitals; NIHSS is required or preferred for many inpatient areas.Experience working in hospital environments including Emergency Department, ICU, Step Down/PCU, Medical-Surgical, and Acute Rehab preferred.Ability to perform airway management, ventilator management, respiratory assessments, and related procedures consistent with hospital protocols.Preferred: CSU-ALS credential for ICU roles.Apply now and one of our recruiters will reach out with the details to see if this is the right fit for you.Assignment DetailsFacility type: Hospital.Shift name: Days.Shift details: Days.Assignment length: 13 week assignment starting in May 2026.Candidate may be required to float among hospitals within the client network.Location Highlights Carbondale, IL offers nearby outdoor recreation and a small-city lifestyle.
