Job Title: ClinicianReport to: Program ManagerDept: Mental Health ServicesLocation: Several locations throughout South LA/South Bay including but not limited to Harbour, 445 N Avalon Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90744Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pmStatus: Full Time; Non-Management; Non-Exempt (hourly, no paid lunch)Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement Planning (403b), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), etc.Number of openings: 6 Summary The Housing Supportive Services Program (HSSP) is a specialized program that provides comprehensive and intensive field-based community mental health services designed to meet the unique needs of individuals in Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) who are formerly homeless and have a Severe Mental Illness (SMI) or Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED). As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Clinician will conduct psychotherapy with adult members that have severe and persistent mental illness in the office, in member's homes, or the field. The Clinician's primary responsibilities are to engage members and to coordinate mental health and recovery services that will ensure housing stability and community integration. This position is responsible for maintaining the highest quality provision of direct individual and group therapeutic services and case management services, while fostering teamwork among staff and across departments and programs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Provide, coordinate, and implement mental health and recovery support services with individual members2. Conduct individual, family and group psychotherapy3. Develop effective, trusting relationships with members, with a focus on facilitating independence and maintenance of improved physical and mental health4. Collaborate with each member to develop their individual service plan; review and update it upon completion of goals5. Assist management and other Clinicians with program evaluation and modification for future program improvements and growth6. Assist members with becoming involved in daily activities, socialization, health maintenance, sense of community, and progress in recovery reflective of The People Concern's model which emphasizes customer choice, harm reduction, and psycho-social rehabilitation7. Work cooperatively and cohesively with other members of the HSSP team, including participation in weekly staff meetings, group clinical supervision, and trainings8. Develop and maintain a complete, accurate, and current member file with all funder-required documents Qualifications: 1. Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field of study from an accredited university.2. Valid registration or licensure with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.3. Current, valid California Driver's with an acceptable driving record and reliable vehicle4. Able to transport members in your vehicle5. Outstanding clinical and strong team-building skills6. Detail-oriented with excellent time management, organizational, written, verbal, and computer skills Preferred Qualifications: BBS registered (preferred) or BBS eligible in CA Experience with unhoused population, experience responding to/assessing for crisis Work Environment: * Combination of field and office environment• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend; occasionally lift or carry up to 35 lbs.• On occasion walk or drive to different local sites• Will necessitate working in busy and loud environments• Will be exposed to elements like cold, heat, dust, noise and odor• May need to bend, stoop, twist, and sit throughout the day
