How you'll contribute A Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) provides comprehensive respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions across all age groups. This role performs diagnostic testing, administers and evaluates ordered therapies, and collaborates with physicians to develop and implement individualized plans of care. The Respiratory Therapist responds to emergent situations, including codes, educates patients and families, maintains respiratory equipment and supplies, and ensures accurate documentation in the electronic medical record while adhering to evidence‑based practices and regulatory standards. What we're looking for Applicants should have * Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy from a 2‑year AMA‑approved Respiratory Care program (Bachelor's Degree preferred) * Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through NBRC * Active North Carolina Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license with required CEUs * BLS certification within 30 days of hire; ACLS and PALS within six (6) months of hire (NRP preferred) * Ability to complete required Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire and maintain annual skills, safety, and compliance requirements * Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and ability to work independently in fast‑paced, high‑stress environments * Effective English communication skills (read, write, speak, and understand) * Ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple clinical software systems Connect with a Recruiter Not ready to complete an application, or have questions? Maria Parham Health Franklin Facility, which houses a highly comprehensive 11-bed Emergency Department located in Louisburg. This stand-alone ED is fully staffed and equipped to accommodate any emergency situation with speed and efficiency. Our Franklin facility also includes a unique Behavioral Health unit to serve the mental health needs of our area's population. Our Behavioral Health Unit is divided between 20 adult psychiatric units for those between the age of 18 and 55, and a 13-bed geriatric unit for our population over the age of 55.
