The Neuro/Stroke Unit is a 21 bed unit providing care to telemetry patients with stroke, TIA and other neurological disease processes. The Neuro/Spine Unit is a 27 bed unit focused on neurosurgical patients. Neuro Unit RNs at the University of Tennessee Medical Center are part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team that provides patient and family centered care. Professional development opportunities include participation in Nursing Unit Based and Shared Governance Councils. Neuro focused professional certification is supported and encouraged. On-going general nursing and neuro specific education opportunities are provided via a variety of methods and settings. Position Qualification: Bachelor's degree (BSN) or ASN Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse licensure in Tennessee, or in the process of obtaining Experienced Nurses without neuro experience, but have interest and are looking to specialize in this exciting area, are encouraged to apply All shifts, full-time, part-time, and per diem available
