**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** **Description:** * Demonstrates the ability to obtain information and interpret information in terms of the patient s needs. * Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of growth and development. * Demonstrates the ability to identify high priority patients to the triage nurse, based on pre determined criteria. * Monitors the waiting room and identifies patient in need for re-assessment by the triage nurse, based on pre determined criteria. * Recognizes and responds to monitor alarms and/or changes in patient cardiac rhythm, and assures that RN or charge nurse is notified and aware. **Minimum Qualifications:** + High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school is required + Certificate from Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT-B) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program is required + Willingness to cross train as a Unit Secretary + Previous experience working as an EMT-B or CNA is required; experience with starting IV's is necessary + Computer experience **Licensure** + EMT-B or CNA license is required + BLS from AHA is required **_Holy Cross Health Florida in Fort Lauderdale has been named one of America's Best Employers for Healthcare Professionals by Forbes!_** **Our Commitment** Rooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
