Purpose of Position The math interventionist serves as part of the school leadership team, providing various interventions, assisting with data analysis, progress monitoring, and the administration of district assessments. He/she may provide support to the school administrator(s) in identifying professional development needs based on patterns/trends identified in data and modeling of best practices in mathematics instruction. The majority of time should be spent strategically planning and providing individual and small group interventions.
