Job Description

A school district in Austin, Indiana is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to provide comprehensive support for special education evaluations across three school buildings. This contract position operates onsite with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, offering stability and a collaborative work environment. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct approximately 70 psychoeducational evaluations annually, assessing student needs to guide appropriate interventions. • Collaborate with staff and families to create supportive educational plans and ensure compliance with special education regulations. • Participate in monthly multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate services and discuss student progress. • Report directly to the district supervisor, providing timely documentation and updates related to evaluations and eligibility. Qualifications and Experience: • Valid Indiana School Psychologist license is required. • Proven experience with psychoeducational assessments and determining eligibility for special education services is preferred. • Strong understanding of special education law and compliance standards to ensure adherence in all evaluations and recommendations. • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and administrators.
