As a provider-led multispecialty healthcare team, Faith Health - Physician Services is committed to delivering high-quality, comprehensive services to the people of Northeast Nebraska.Summary:Manages all aspects of physician recruitment, including the process and responsibility of sourcing, screening, interviewing and onboarding of all providers. Manages the Medical Staff Development Plan to align with community need. Will work closely with Faith Health staff, physicians, community agencies and providers, as well as the general public. Manages and develops all policies and procedures related to physician recruitment. Assures adherence to hospital policies and procedures through daily activities. Maintains constant source of information relating to new physician contracts and takes appropriate and timely measures to recruit physicians. Identifies, develops and implements strategies for recruiting targeted physicians. The listing of job duties contained in this job description is not all inclusive. Duties may be added or subtracted at any time due to the needs of the organization.Responsibilities:Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:1. Maintains knowledge of federal state and local financial aid or reimbursement programs related to the placement of physicians within the regional network. Performs all tasks related to recruitment: Screening and responding to candidate inquiries; contacting and discussing opportunities, candidate qualifications and best clinic/practice match; presenting candidate to Department Head/clinic/department for employment consideration; overseeing preparation of itinerary and interview site visit(s) processes; following up with candidate/department to determine continued interest; providing formal process follow-up and closure with Faith Health and all candidates. Maintains daily activity log identifying current and planned recruitment efforts. Investigates all leads for potential candidates - sourcing candidates. Develop, plan, implement and manage all methods to generate candidates, including national/local/Internet advertising, direct mail, resident-related events and activities, marketing and promotional materials, and website development and maintenance. Identifies potential candidates who have personal or educational ties to the area. Implements and manages physician candidate tracking systems. Investigates potential clinical rotation programs to be utilized in familiarizing physicians at recruitment fairs and residency programs. Conducts telephone interviews with candidates. Maintains an open line of communication with all current medical staff and seeks input on all aspects of recruiting. Coordinates physicians' site visits to include tours of the communities and housing options, meetings with administrative representatives, and key medical staff members, and tours of Faith Health facilities. Researches value and reputation of physician before formal offer/invitation is extended. Checks physician's references and credentials before extending formal offer or invitation to visit. Sets realistic timetables for closing physician recruitment negotiations. Manages and coordinates onboarding of contracted candidates. Coordinates and manages retained or contingency recruitment agencies. Collaborates with Med Staff Services Credentialing Specialist or Admin Assistant to ensure credentialing files relating to providers are complete. When possible, coordinates with other organization departments regarding common recruitment activities (printed materials, spouse job placement, and other activities). Maintain a general comprehension and understanding of the contracts utilized by Faith Health for providing a recruitment package to a physician candidate. Conducts marketing research, as needed. Manages the Medical Staff Development Plan and succession plan to include routine maintenance and implementation to align with community need. Attends hospital-sponsored and community-sponsored physician networking programs/luncheons to meet with potential candidates and discuss placement preferences and needs; participates in recruitment job fairs and conference exhibits to source potential candidates. Develops strong relationships with medical school advisors and coordinators, residency programs, fellowships, and clinical rotation programs. 6. Prepares and analyzes statistical data to monitor candidate flow, selection, and turnover. Manages and implements the physician retention plan. This may include coordinating physician recruitment and retention activities; planning and attending retention activities and events. Conducting satisfaction surveys with new recruits; regularly scheduled contact with new recruits and families. Demonstrates an interest in being a team member of various committees; participates as needed in various marketing activities geared toward recruiting physicians or providing a community service; exhibits a sincere desire to contribute to the short-and-long-range goals of the organization. Collaborates with Med Staff Services Credentialing Specialist or Admin Assistant to ensure credentialing files relating to providers are complete. 10. Has the knowledge of diverse cultural issues with the ability to work with diverse populations within and outside of Faith Health's organization. 11. Thorough knowledge of equal employment laws, ADA, and other government compliance regulations that affect job recruitment. 12. Excellent interviewing and general communications and writing skills. 13. Effective evaluation abilities of personnel statistical data, departmental operations and budget preparations. 14. Must be able to maintain harmonious relationships among those involved in the recruitment process. Hours will be dependent on patient census and workload.
