Position Type: Summer Positions/Summer Programs - Support Staff Date Posted: 3/27/2026 Location: CANTON HIGH SCHOOL Closing Date: Until Filled District:   Plymouth-Canton Community Schools  Additional Information: Show/Hide POSITION: Summer School Health Support Temporary Summer Position LOCATION: Canton High School SUMMER SCHOOL SCHEDULE: 5 weeks June 22 July 23, 2026 Monday - Thursday HOURS: 7:00am 2:00pm MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * High school graduate or equivalent. * Ability to organize work and projects. * Ability to take initiative and work independently without direct supervision. * Ability to maintain confidential information. * Working knowledge of Gmail, Google Docs, and MiStar. * Excellent oral and written communication skills including document and letter preparation. * Ability to set, manage, and coordinate multiple priorities. * Good organizational and communication skills. * Good attendance record DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provide care and support to students who demonstrate symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 during the school day (under the direction of the school nurse). Use of PPE will be required. * Implements the district's health and safety protocols. * Works directly with students, staff, parents, and administrators. * Provide care and support to students with chronic and acute health needs, including administration of medication. * Check vital signs as warranted. * Follows health and wellness guidelines and protocols including documenting student clinic visits, contacting parents/guardians to pick up students, and cleaning, disinfecting, sanitizing clinic when necessary. * Contacts the school nurse with any questions, concerns regarding student illnesses and follow up. * Bending, lifting, and overhead work required. * Performs other tasks as assigned.
