Competitive Wages & Annual Merit Increase Monday - Friday 8:00A.M. - 4:30P.M. at 8405 Beverly Blvd, 90048Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct thorough physical examinations and medical histories. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions such as infections, injuries, diabetes, hypertension, and other illnesses. Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and assist in the provision of continuity of care. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests such as laboratory tests, X-rays, and EKGs. Formulate and implement treatment plans based on test results. Prescribe medications, therapies, and other medical regimens to treat illnesses and conditions. Provide patient education on medication management, lifestyle changes, and preventive healthcare. Educate patients and families on disease prevention and health promotion. Counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes. Ensure documentation complies with regulatory and organizational standards. Perform minor surgical procedures, wound care, and other medical treatments as needed. Assist with or perform routine diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Provide emergency medical care and treatment in urgent situations. Assess and stabilize patients in emergency conditions. Stay current with medical developments, research, and technology. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities. Participate in clinic or hospital meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and policy development. Participate in remote on call coverage for the clinic. Other duties as assigned by Associate Medical Director.Position Requirements: A valid license to practice medicine as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Asst. in the State of California, with no pending or previous disciplinary action from any state licensing entity. Minimum 2-5 years of clinical experience in a clinic setting. Proficiency in EMR systems, preferably EPIC. Competency in general adult ambulatory care. Understanding of current medical, educational and psychosocial intervention procedures Working knowledge of direct outpatient care and management methods and practices in a community clinic setting. Prior experience in a similar setting is preferred. Basic knowledge of local, state and federal regulations relating to care of patients in a clinic setting; and prior experience with county, state and federal programs such as CHDP, FPACT, EWC, Medi-Cal and Title X is preferred.Compensation DisclaimerActual salary offers are considered by various factors, including budget, experience, skills, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
