This position is located at our Astria Sunnyside Hospital in the Pharmacy Department. Shift: 7:30am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday, Please note workdays may vary. What you get to do every day!The Pharmacist is responsible for reviewing, interpreting, clarifying and dispensing of medication and pharmaceutical supplies to outpatients of all ages as ordered by the providers. You will:Monitor medication therapy, intervene, recommend, prescribes medication and laboratory tests according to prescriptive protocols or physician request, and/or educates where necessary.Act as a resource for information relating to medications and their actions, administration, adverse effects, contraindications, dosage recommendations, and alternative therapies.Process orders and prescriptions via computer order entry and handles/selects medications efficiently and accurately.Maintain records according to the policies of the institution, the rules and regulations of the State of Washington, the rules and regulations of the United States, and regulations of other governing bodies.Dispense medications to patients and ensure the safety and efficacy of the medications.Manage the logistics and services related to pharmacy, including medication storage and inventory management.Oversee, check, and verify work performed by technicians.Function as a team member and a responsible, dependable employee, including attendance and customer service.Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and interns.Perform other related work as assigned.Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.Adheres to the core values and standards of the organization.RequirementsBachelor of Science in Pharmacy or greater Current Washington State Board of Pharmacy license to practice pharmacy.
