A healthcare facility in the Los Angeles area is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for their outpatient oncology infusion team. This contract position supports night shifts and prioritizes candidates with chemotherapy and oncology pharmacy experience. The assignment will begin promptly and last at least 13 weeks. Location: Multiple sites throughout the Los Angeles metro area, with final placement to be determined Schedule: Monday through Friday Midnight to 9:00 AM Responsibilities: Review and verify intravenous (IV) medication orders Ensure compliance with USP 797 and USP 800 standards Collaborate with clinical staff to optimize oncology patient treatment plans Utilize EPIC electronic medical record system for documentation and communication Desired Qualifications: Licensed pharmacist with clinical experience Strong background in oncology pharmacy, specifically chemotherapy handling Proficient in IV admixture review and preparation oversight Thorough understanding of USP 797 and 800 guidelines for sterile compounding and hazardous drug safety Experience working night shifts is preferred This contract offers an opportunity to contribute specialized pharmacy skills in a challenging and rewarding oncology outpatient setting.
