AbilityPath is hiring for an Early Childhood Mental Health Coordinator!The Early Childhood Mental Health (ECMH) Coordinator plays a key role on our Help Me Grow team by supporting families with young children in San Mateo County. AbilityPath is committed to recruiting and retaining diverse diversity among our staff teams.ABOUT THE ROLEFamily Support & Care CoordinationServe as a direct resource for parents/caregivers of children under 6 with social-emotional or developmental concernsProvide warm referrals and follow-up for families needing early childhood mental health servicesSupport parents identified through ASQ-3 and ASQ-SE2 screenings, especially those with low protective factorsProgram Development & Data ManagementBuild and maintain a comprehensive database of early childhood mental health services in San Mateo County (eligibility, availability, service types)Generate monthly reports on referrals, outcomes, and barriers to careDocument timely and accurate case notes and contribute to continuous quality improvement (CQI)Coaching & Team SupportProvide coaching and guidance to Help Me Grow and Family Resource Center Coordinators on engaging families in conversations about mental health, well-being, and traumaParticipate in case reviews and team meetings to offer strategies and resources for families with high needsAssist in identifying mental health professional development opportunities for staffCommunity Partnerships & Systems EngagementDevelop and maintain collaborative relationships with mental health providers and community partnersRepresent Help Me Grow at countywide meetings such as Round Table, Systems Change, and other mental health-focused committeesElevate trends and barriers identified through family interactions to inform broader systems changeOutreach & Parent-Child ProgrammingSupport in-person and virtual parent-child groupsParticipate in family-community outreach events, resource fairs, and educational workshopsServe as a public-facing advocate for Help Me Grow and early childhood mental health in the communityEDUCATION & EXPERIENCEIn our approach to inclusive hiring, we recognize that job qualifications have often been used to exclude candidates from marginalized backgrounds.
