JOB SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Pharmacist in Chief, this position is responsible for analyzing inventory and purchasing data for RCHSD inpatient, and retail pharmacies. This position coordinates, manages, purchases, tracks and reports the process of ordering, maintaining and the return of Pharmacy medications and supplies. Oversees GPO pharmacy contract management compliance,price auditing, and ensuring compliance of E-pedigree(T3's). Manages recall notification by coordinating and processing recalls. Also responsible for the coordination of department inventory management, creating accounts for wholesalers, directs, specialty and secondary vendors/wholesalers. Manages shortages with the clinical operation's manager or equivalent specialist. This position provides data and analysis for budget development, inflation analysis and adherence in the areas of pharmaceutical supplies. This position is responsible for monitoring the daily operations of the 340B program with respect to purchasing for the inpatient and retail pharmacies. This position provides advanced knowledge of purchasing and 340B regulations regarding but not limited to CDM: NDC crosswalk updates, accuracy of purchasing on correct account WAC 340B and GPO and pricing in 340B software. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent 5 years of experience Registered Pharmacy Tech Excellent data management and analytical skills Able to resource and research systems Ability to present data factually with supportive research and analytics Strong written and verbal communication skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree 7 years of experience 4 years of purchasing and inventory management experience in an institutional (hospital, clinic, long term care, infusion pharmacy) pharmacy or materials management department Contract evaluation and negotiation skills Pharma manufacturer experience Proficiency on Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Access.
