Reports to: Campus Principal Wage/Hour Status: Nonexempt Compensation Plan: Clerical/Paraprofessional Pay Grade: 01 Minimum Hourly Rate: $15.40 Minimum Annual Salary: $23,038 Duty Days: 187 days per year Primary Purpose: Provides reception and clerical assistance for the efficient operation of the campus office under the direct supervision of the campus principal. Qualifications: Education and Certification * High school diploma or equivalent Experience * One year clerical experience in an office setting Special Knowledge and Skills * Proficient keyboarding skills * Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to follow written instructions * Ability to operate multi-line phone system * Ability to exercise good judgment in handling confidential information Major Responsibilities and Duties: Reception and Phones * Receives and directs incoming calls, take reliable messages, and routes to appropriate staff. * Greets and directs campus visitors, maintains visitor log, and issues visitor passes when required. * Assists parents in checking students in and out of school. * Assists with scheduling or teacher conferences as required. * Receives, sorts, and distributes mail, messages, documents, and other deliveries. * Assists with receiving and distributing student materials, including homework requests and grade reports. * Assists with preparation of materials for mailing, including preparing labels, stuffing envelopes, etc. * Maintains computerized files using personal computer, including reports, employee roster, and mailing list. * Serves as secondary staff and student attendance monitor. * Prepares attendance reports for principal. * Gathers staff Absent from Duty Forms, substitute requests, doctor excuses student absences and early dismissals, etc. * Updates and modifies campus calendar for accuracy and prompt communication to all parties. * Assists secretary with paraprofessional timekeeping, in and out punches. Other Related Duties: * Follows district safety protocols and emergency procedures. * Participates in professional development, department meetings, and special events as assigned. * Performs other duties as assigned.
