A member of our recruitment team will provide more details. **Job Summary** Analysts within SGMM Healthcare will be responsible for contributing to the growth of MUFG's Sponsor, Mid-Corporate, Mid-Market and LCM business and portfolio through support of coverage bankers on credit and cross-sell opportunities across the SGMM Healthcare portfolio. Key qualifications include a knowledge of corporate finance and accounting to conduct analysis of new client opportunities. Ability to understand financial models, evaluate financial statements and other diligence materials, and deliver client-ready materials via PowerPoint and Excel. Key attributes include the ability to manage and prioritize several work streams effectively while supporting senior bankers in a highly collaborative environment with others across the team and the bank. **Critical responsibilities for the role** : + Preparing marketing materials for clients based on the intersection of client needs and MUFG products across acquisition finance, securitization, derivatives, and other financial solutions + Managing and keeping current a portfolio-level database of client information to determine the applicability of bank solutions + Analyze borrower financial statements, operating trends, cash flow, liquidity, leverage, and profitability to assess credit strength and key risks + Supporting coverage bankers on live deals from origination through close + Maintain portfolio databases and monitor borrower performance to identify early signs of credit deterioration or improvement + Engage with client management teams and investment professionals to gather information and support credit and cross-sell solutions + Ensuring compliance with policy and regulatory requirements + Spearheading KYC on new and existing clients + Coordinating with back- and middle-office for loan closings to ensure successful execution and booking of transactions **Major** **Responsibilities:** + Prepare client marketing materials that align MUFG's financing and risk solutions with the needs of healthcare clients across pharma, biotech, med tech, healthcare IT, providers, and payers. + Analyze borrower financial statements, operating trends, cash flow, liquidity, leverage, and profitability to assess credit strength and key risks. + Evaluate collateral quality by reviewing receivables, inventory appraisals, audits, and borrowing base activity. + Support coverage bankers on transactions from origination through closing, including underwriting, due diligence, scenario analysis, and credit risk assessment. + Review financial covenant compliance and ensure adherence to reporting, policy, and regulatory requirements. + Maintain portfolio databases and monitor borrower performance to identify early signs of credit deterioration or improvement. + Manage KYC processes and coordinate with internal teams to facilitate accurate and timely loan closings. + Engage with client management teams and investment professionals to gather information and support execution. + Spread financials and build credit models tailored to healthcare industry dynamics. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field + Strong interest in Healthcare industry + 1+ years of work experience in financial institutions or equivalent credit risk related function analyzing/covering corporate borrowers + Knowledge of Accounting and Corporate Finance + Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills + Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel The typical base pay range for this role is between $100K - $110K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
